Navratri 5th Day Special: Worshiping Maa Skandamata with Mantras & Aarti

She is also known as Padmasana Devi because she sits on a lotus flower.

Worshiping her helps in attaining peace, knowledge, and liberation.

Puja Vidhi (Worship Method)
Early Morning Rituals:

Wake up early, take a bath, and wear clean clothes (preferably white or yellow).

Clean the puja area and set up the idol or picture of Goddess Skandamata.

Offerings to the Goddess:

Offer yellow flowers, as yellow is her favorite color.

Fruits, especially bananas, are considered auspicious for her.

Offer milk, honey, and sweets (especially kheer or halwa).

Chanting and Mantras:

Recite Durga Saptashati, Skandamata Stotra, or her Beej Mantra: ॐ देवी स्कन्दमातायै नमः (Om Devi Skandamatayai Namah)

Aarti and Bhajan:

Perform aarti using a diya (lamp) with ghee.

Sing Skandamata Aarti or devotional songs dedicated to her.

Donation and Charity:

Donate yellow clothes, food, and sweets to the needy.

Helping mothers and children on this day is considered highly auspicious.

Fasting and Prayers:

Many devotees observe a fast and consume fruits, milk, and sattvic food.

Prayers should be offered for wisdom, protection, and happiness.
